Academic Year 2026-2027
Firstly, I am pleased to confirm that Ms Akyaa, Miss Devaney and Mrs Shah will all continue with us at Sacred Heart as valued members of our teaching team. We are truly blessed to have such dedicated educators, who consistently place the best interests of our children at the heart of everything they do.
I am also pleased to announce that we have appointed a permanent Admin Officer. Miss Wood joined our team on 6th July and has already been working hard to help prepare for a smooth and successful start to the new academic year. Many of you have already had the opportunity to meet her, and I am sure you will join me in making her feel very welcome as she settles into our Sacred Heart family.
In September, our team will be further strengthened by the appointments of Miss Popoola (Teaching Assistant in Reception), Miss Jawed (Teaching Assistant in Nursery), and Miss Ashad and Mrs Aaziz (Teaching Assistants in Class 4). We are fortunate to have such a talented, committed and faith-filled staff team. Sacred Heart is a very special place, not least because of the people who serve here.
On a personal note, many of you will remember Mrs Lord, who began her maternity leave earlier this year. I am delighted to share that she welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world last weekend (right in the middle of the England match!). Please keep Mrs Lord and her family in your prayers as they enjoy this precious time together and settle into life as a family of four.
Finally, it is with sadness that we say goodbye to Mrs Bowen, who will be leaving us at the end of this academic year to take up a leadership role at a Catholic school closer to home, within her own parish community. We are deeply grateful for the energy, enthusiasm and dedication she has shown during her time at Sacred Heart. Please join me in wishing her every blessing and success in this exciting new chapter.
