Literacy

Marcus Rashford (87) (Little People, BIG DREAMS) : Sanchez Vegara, Maria Isabel, Karsten, Guilherme: Amazon.co.uk: Books

We are entering the last few days of our Reception year, and we are ending our literacy cycle for this year by learning about local footballer Marcus Rashford.

The children will learn about Rashford's inspirational journey to becoming an England footballer, and also about his charity work.

How did Rashford become a successful footballer? How has he helped other people? How can we help other people?

Maths

In maths for the next few days we are consolidating our learning from the Reception year.

Phonics

In phonics lessons this week, we are going to continue working on the sounds we already learnt, but we will be using them to read and write more complex words with consonant clusters e.g. land, swift. We will also be working on revising and consolidating learning from the Reception year.
