Rights Respecting Silver Award

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award.

A huge thank you to all of our staff, parents, and children for their support, commitment, and hard work throughout this journey. This achievement reflects our shared dedication to creating a school where children's rights are understood, respected, and embedded in everyday life.

At Sacred Heart, children and their rights are at the heart of everything we do. We are incredibly proud of this milestone and look forward to continuing our Rights Respecting journey, helping our children develop an even deeper understanding of their rights and empowering them to become respectful, responsible, and active members of our community.

Summer Reading Challenge 2026 – Read to the Beat!

We are delighted to let you know that this year’s Summer Reading Challenge is now live, with the exciting 2026 theme: “Read to the Beat!”

This national initiative encourages children to keep reading over the summer holidays through fun, engaging activities linked to stories, music, rhythm and creativity. It is completely free to take part and is run through local libraries.

Children aged 4–11 can join by borrowing and reading books of their choice throughout the summer. All reading counts, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, graphic novels and audiobooks. As they take part, children will collect rewards, and those who complete the challenge will receive a certificate and medal from their local library.

Well done to everyone who came to school on time every day this week!

Classes who achieve 100% attendance are invited to school in the 'own clothes' the following Friday - announcements are made in Friday's assemblies and shared in our newsletters. Every lesson really does count!

Keep our children safe!
