Pentecost
May 24th
Pentecost is a joyful and powerful celebration in the Church calendar, marking the moment the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, filling them with courage and wisdom to spread the Good News. Often called the “birthday of the Church,” Pentecost reminds us that the mission of sharing Jesus’ teachings continues today, especially in a world where many face uncertainty, division, or hardship.
At home, you may like to talk to your children about how the Holy Spirit still works in our lives: guiding us, giving us strength and helping us show love, kindness, and forgiveness, even in challenging times. This Pentecost, we are invited to be peacemakers and sources of hope in our communities, just as the first disciples were.
As we approach Pentecost Sunday, we pray together as a school community that the Holy Spirit fills our hearts with courage, unity, and joy, helping us respond to the needs of our world with compassion and hope.
