We hope you all had a restful and joyful half-term break. It’s wonderful to have the children back with us, full of energy and ready for the exciting weeks ahead.

This half term is filled with lots of lovely events to look forward to, including special celebrations, enriching learning opportunities, and cherished moments of prayer and reflection together as a school community.

Parents and carers, watch this space! You’ll soon have the opportunity to meet your child’s new class teacher as we begin to look ahead to the next academic year.

As always, thank you for your continued support. Let’s make this final half term of the year a positive and memorable one for all our children.

Class News

Class 1

This week in RE, Class 1 have been exploring our CARITAS theme of Rights and Responsibilities. We learned that Jesus teaches us to love and care for one another, reminding us that everyone has the right to be treated with kindness, respect, and fairness. Building on this, we explored the rights of a child and discussed how we all have a responsibility to protect and uphold those rights. To show what we had learned, the children created colourful and thoughtful posters to share these important messages.

Class 3

On Tuesday, Class 3 visited The Lowry at Salford Quays, where they had a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of L.S. Lowry’s iconic painting, Going to the Match. The children explored the gallery, making sketches in their notebooks which they later used to create their own graphite artwork. They ended the day with lunch overlooking the beautiful views of Salford Quays—a truly inspiring and creative experience for all!

Class 5

Class 5 have started the new half-term with a bang! The Year 4 pupils have completed their Multiplication Tables Check and have been working hard on TTRockstars and other websites to assist them in learning their Times Tables at pace. We have started a new topic, Athletics, in PE, to prepare us for the upcoming Sports Day. In Maths, we have also started a unit on time- we have been learning about digital and analogue times.

Year 6

This week, we were delighted to welcome back some of our former pupils, who visited our Year 6 pupils to share their experiences of starting high school. The students answered a range of thoughtful questions, offering valuable insight into what life is like in Year 7—from navigating new timetables to making new friends and managing homework. Their honest and encouraging responses helped to ease nerves and inspire confidence in our soon-to-be secondary schoolers. We’re incredibly proud of our ex-pupils and grateful for their support in helping the next generation take this exciting step forward.
