The Passion of Christ and The Joy of the Resurrection
As we journey through Holy Week, we are invited to reflect deeply on the Passion of our Lord, Jesus Christ. His suffering and sacrifice, culminating on the Cross, reveal the depth of God’s love for humanity. In the events that unfolded in Jerusalem, we see not only pain and betrayal, but extraordinary courage, forgiveness and love.
The Passion reminds us that even in moments of darkness, God is at work. Jesus’ willingness to endure suffering teaches us about compassion, perseverance and the power of trusting in the Father’s will. It challenges us to think about how we carry our own crosses and how we support others in times of difficulty.
Yet the story does not end at the tomb.
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the joy of the Resurrection: the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair. The risen Christ brings new life and the promise that love is stronger than sin. Easter is a powerful reminder that renewal is always possible. Just as spring brings new growth, the Resurrection invites each of us to begin again with faith, kindness and joy.
May this Easter season fill our hearts with peace and hope. As a community rooted in faith, may we continue to live out the message of the Cross and the empty tomb: showing love in our actions, forgiveness in our words, and joy in our daily lives.
School reopens on Monday April 13th at 8:45am, for another term filled with love, laughter and learning.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, until we meet again.
