Lent is a time to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection through three key practices: prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
Pray: We are encouraged to pray more or to pray in new ways this Lent. Try moving your crucifix near your front door as a reminder of Christ’s love, attending the Stations of the Cross, or writing prayers as messages to God.
Fast: Fasting isn’t just about food—it’s about making space for God. Giving up distractions like screen time and gossip can help us focus on our faith and appreciate what we have.
Give: Acts of kindness, big or small, help those in need. Consider donating food, offering quiet acts of generosity, or involving children in secret ways to give.

Adults may find inspiration from a letter that was written by Bishop John a few years ago, but seems more important now than ever:
Mute the noise: How data fasting can help you rediscover the meaning of Lent.
