Literacy

Our text this week is A Day in the Life of a Polar Bear

This week we are recapping what we began learning about Arctic animals. We are learning about different habitats, and the types of animals that live in them. We are thinking about how animals survive in cold weather, such as the polar bear.

Maths

In Maths we are learning about measuremetn, using the language above to compare the mass and capacity of objects.

Phonics

We are reviewing some sounds this week: igh, oa, oo (book).

Please continue to help your child engage with their weekly phonics homework. Feel free to see our Reception staff if you have any questions or need any help with that.

Things to remember

On Wednesday 11th February, the local Oral Health team is holding a workshop for parents at 9.00am. This is a great opportunity to get more knowledge about oral health, and some practical tips to help your child in that area.
