Christmas Concert at Holy Apostles – St. Ignatius Catholic School

Merry Christmas!

As the end of Advent approaches, this is a wonderful time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Beyond the busy streets, decorations, and festive treats, Christmas is a celebration of hope, joy, peace and the birth of Jesus, who came to Earth to show us how to love one another. It is a reminder to be generous with our hearts, to help those in need, and to share quality time with our family and friends.

As we part ways today, let us remember to take a moment to remember the spirit of Christmas in our daily lives and be thankful for the blessings we have.

Dear Jesus, thank You for coming to Earth to show us love. Help us to be kind, helpful, peaceful and joyful this Christmas. Bless our families, friends, and those in need. Amen.

On behalf of all of the staff of our wonderful school, I wish you a very happy and holy Christmas. School reopens at 8:45am on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

Caritas Advent Appeal

‘Be There’

Our diocesan charity Caritas Salford has launched its 2025 Advent Appeal asking us to #BeeThere for someone this Christmas.

We’re calling for people to not just make Christmas about the tinsel, the parties and the supermarket queues, but to help put real meaning back into Christmas this year. We’re asking them to #BeeThere with a gift that can truly help people to transform their lives with dignity.

Please take a look at the #BeeThere campaign page, animation and virtual gift catalogue: www.caritassalford.org.uk/beethere.
