Before his passing, Pope Francis invited us all to become Pilgrims of Hope, journeying together with faith, love and trust in God’s promises. For our school community, this means a renewed focus on prayer, kindness, and looking after one another, especially those most in need.
Throughout this calendar year, Catholic schools have been helping children to understand what it means to live as people of hope - through acts of service, learning about saints and pilgrims, and taking time for reflection and prayer. It’s a chance for us all to remember that, even when life is uncertain, God walks with us every step of the way.
Today, we welcomed our anchor of hope, delivered by the children of St Joseph's, Reddish, during Class 7's insightful assembly. Next week, our Head Boy and Head Girl will deliver the anchor to St Richard's, Longsight. The anchor will visit each and every Catholic school in the Salford Diocese and we are very grateful to Class 7 for helping us to understand its journey.
