Wow, what a half term!

As we come to the end of our first half term of the year, we look back with deep gratitude. The atmosphere around school has been filled with energy, enthusiasm and joy. Children have embraced their new routines with confidence, built new friendships and strengthened existing ones. Every day, we see them growing in knowledge, understanding, and faith. Educational visits and special activities have already enriched their learning—and there is plenty more to look forward to.

Looking out at a sea of red clothing during Friday’s assemblies, I felt immense pride. Your children are a joy to teach and a credit to you. Thank you for your ongoing support. Your kindness is truly appreciated.

As we head into the half term break, may God watch over your families and fill your homes with peace and love. School reopens on Monday, 2nd November. Please encourage your children to read and practise their number facts or times tables regularly, but above all, help them to rest well and return refreshed for the next half term.

“Let all that you do be done in love.”
– 1 Corinthians 16:14

Matthew 22:1–14

"Everything is ready. Come to the wedding."

In Sunday's Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of a king who invites many guests to a great wedding feast. Some ignore the invitation, while others gladly accept it. Through this story, Jesus reminds us that God lovingly invites each one of us into a relationship with Him. His invitation is offered generously to all, and He asks us to respond with open hearts and lives that reflect His love.

Each day, we are given opportunities to accept God's invitation through the choices we make. We respond when we pray, show kindness, forgive others, work hard, and care for those in need. As a school family, may we never take God's invitation for granted, but instead choose each day to live as His disciples, welcoming others with the same generosity, joy and love that He shows to us.

Nursery's topic has been 'All about ourselves'. The children have loved creating self-portraits using different media. This has been a busy half-term, and we are very proud of our youngest Sacred Heart learners, who have worked so hard to settle in their new environment.
