Literacy

Philly & Friends: Who Do I See in the Mirror? : Vese Aghoghovbia-Aladewolu, Irene Omiunu: Amazon.co.uk: Books

This week we continue reading the story 'Who do I see in the Mirror?'. We are using the book as a springboard to learn how to talk about our past, looking at our baby pictures. The children will learn to talk about how they have changed since they were babies.

Thank you to all the parents who have sent pictures in to us.

How have you changed since you were a baby?

Maths

In maths this week we are comparing amounts, comparing size, capacity and mass.

You can help your child a lot by talking about these things when getting on with your daily routine e.g. 'I have 3 spoons but 5 plates. There are more plates than spoons.' 'You are tall, but your brother is taller.'

Phonics

Our phonics sounds this week are: i, n, m, d.

Please make sure your child completes their phonics homework regularly.

You should help your child say the sounds on the homework sheet, then use the rhyme to trace and form the letter on the right-hand column.
