This event will take place between 8:45am and 2:30pm on 23/05/2025
We are delighted to announce that Sacred Heart R.C. Primary School will be hosting a Cultural Day on 23rd May. This special event aims to broaden our children’s understanding of the world and celebrate the diverse cultures represented within our school community.
On this day, we encourage all children to come to school dressed in a way that reflects a country of their choice. Some of our children have told us that they would like to represent the native culture of their parents/grandparents but the choice is yours. Your child/ren might like to wear traditional clothing or the colours of the national flag. Each class will also have the opportunity to explore and learn about a specific country during the day.
We would love for parents and carers to join in the celebration and share aspects of your culture with the children. If you’re interested, we invite you to set up a table in the playground from 2:30 pm onwards, where you can showcase food, music, skills, pictures, or any information that highlights your cultural heritage. This will provide a wonderful opportunity for children and parents alike to explore and enjoy the richness of our school’s diverse community.
